He's been in charge 4 seasons.  Schematically the same? They may line up in the same formations and try to run a little of the Johns' wingT but the entire offense and many other things on and off the field changed.  Would you like to argue the offense improved post Johns?  The defense won games in 2021.

Facts. Current head coach has 4 seasons. His 4 year record is 32-16. He is 17-4 in region games with 2 region titles.  First loss to Cornersville in 25 years. Only loss to Cascade in a decade. Only loss to Moore Co in a decade.  The four years before he took over,  the team was 33-15 with a 20-3 region record and 3 region titles.

The Rockets won a much tougher Region 4 twice in 2015 and 2016. This season we lost at home to their #4 seed. Best run in school history? This isn't the best 4 year run in the last 8 years.

4 plus 4 equals 8. First Cornersville loss? That's only because you didn't play them the previous three seasons. Don't be stupid. Also, your comparison of Eli and the previous 4 seasons is a difference of basically one regular season game and one region game. If you were trying to prove some sort of point, you didn't do a very good job of it.

Eli has 1 exception. The 2019 season where he was GIFTED the most talented class in 2A Marshall history.  He lost to a mediocre Riverside team, or failed to influence the refs to overturn a horrible call. Either way.

The other 3 years he has been coach, Forrest had both embarrassing losses and losses to teams he should have beaten by 2-3 TDs.

His crunch time decision making is cringe. The examples are all over the threads here.

He has literally been quoted as saying "I have no idea what I am doing"

I guess Forrest is stick with him.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
