I think Waverly, WH, and Fairview will be at the top again. It will be interesting to see how both Waverly and WH replace their stud QB’s. Waverly returns an o-line that got better every game and they have some weapons returning. Fairview I’m not real sure what they have returning. WH lost a ton.

Fairview will be the team to beat. Their RB is the best player in this region.

Waverly returns Elliott, Stanfield, and Dooley.

 

Fairview returns Grant, Claxton, and Curtis.

 

Both teams return a lot of linemen as well.  They don’t play until the final week of the season at Waverly.  I could very easily see that contest deciding the region championship.

What are the dates for everyone's spring practice? Any spring scrimmages scheduled?

Not sure about Waverly at this point. I was told by a senior that since the floods they have no way to hit the weights. Said they never lifted the rest of last season post flood. If thats true then it will hurt for sure.

Maybe Waverly doesn’t need weights to be good at football.  I’m sure they’ll manage to win games without curling and upright rows.

They’ve managed to hit the weights somewhere, I’ve seen some players out and about and they have gotten much bigger.

When other teams are stronger than yours it's a big problem  . This isnt baseball.

I find it hard to believe some weights, somewhere, couldn't be rounded up for the players to use. Heck, a local gym or even a different school in that area (Dickson? McEwen?) might be willing to help out.

I know people up in NW Tennessee and SW Kentucky have been scrambling every which way to help out the Mayfield community after that tornado came through.
