Millington @ Covington -week 3

So, Covington gets its first region game in 7-3A this week. Millington moved into the region last season, but had to forfeit to Covington because of Covid. 
 

Chris Michael is the head coach at Millington. I remember watching him as a defensive back for the Memphis Tigers back in the day. His grandfather had an auto parts store in Mason and we had some discussions about this grandson before and after Memphis recruited him, I hear that he has improved the Millington squad a lot.

Both teams have lost to Munford this season, which will happen a lot, as Munford is very good. I expect my Chargers to play Charger football (that is, run the ball out of the wing-T). I don’t know what to expect from Millington, but I did hear that they have a good young QB.

Chargers still mad about week one. They will have a running clock the whole 2nd half. This will be light work.

Covington rolls. Millington may be much improved, but I highly doubt they are ready for the Chargers offense or the athleticism of the Covington defense.

The kid Millington has at QB right now can move, but where is the kid from last year? Didn't think he was a senior. Regardless, not much to see here, Covington wins big a notches their first region win of the year!

I hope the predictions are right. The Chargers need this win, but nothing is guaranteed.

I don’t know either. I suppose there are other matchups this week that have grabbed peoples attention. This ole boy, however, will be right in front of the press box at 7 pm tonight for the kickoff of Millington @ Covington.
