That shoulders guy isn’t going to schedule a hard schedule. He’s all about his record and him self I knew him and his family when he was a little boy. I remember few years ago they was scheduling a mount juliet Christian team and glencliff   You can’t build off of that. When ur a 4a team then play 3 :2A teams ER. TC and WESTY. They even use to schedule little 1A jo byrns .

The Ghost was told Friday had those Borders boys stayed in Westmoreland, they would probably have a State Championship Ring this year.  They are missing a little offensive explosion and one more stud on defense.  Macon had a good year, but another 1st round exit in the playoffs.  RBS did just as much this year IMO.  Shoulders was a good Special Teams Assistant at Oakland, that's all I can say.  We miss him.

12 points is a “total beat down”? Given how much Basketball I have watched on my lifetime i never knew 12 points was huge. 

FYI they play again also I guess the Jackets may blow them out and win by 13 the next time. 

But hey congratulations on beating one of the worst teams the Tiger have had in a while now win like 50 more and the series may get closer.

PS I also noticed the maybe worst Macon Girls team In program history still managed to beat Trousdale so it is still only one win in that series and that was with Jim Satterfield coaching 6 on 6 in the 1970’s.

After 42-0 Trousdale probably drops Macon in Football so you may have a point of them playing golf.

also tell Robert I said hi and I hope he’s feeling better

Well I’m old school don’t kno much about basketball. But I will say I went to the Macon t c football game. Sad part was it took every dam minute for that pretty boy shoulders guy to get that 42. He left his starters in the entire game. I hope that satterfield has them on the schedule next year and I hope them jackets go up to that tiger stadium an beat them boys. It’s a hellll of season to go 8-2 and lose in first round … Karma my friends karma

How many times did daddy Satterfield do that to teams in the 1990’s? At least 3 times a season and Macon almost every time.

That’s not Karma that’s just a bad draw. They went 8-2 but drew 3rd in a 3 way tie. they were a few  2 point plays away from a much better draw.

Yea yea daddy satt did it with subs in he never score up with starters. He may of threw the ball some times with subs but guess what you have to see what you got coming up also. Tyner would beat Macon and red bank 4 a is weak..

      OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.

      They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.

      The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.

      I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
