Congrats to East Hickman for the win.

My competitive nature envies you for being able to say this!  LOL!  Seriously though, it was a huge win for that community, as I am guessing we had a 20 year winning streak.

My biggest take away, we are inexperienced, and lack leadership on the field.  Both things can and typically work themselves out as the season moves forward, but this is the re-loading year Fairview fans have been talking about since 2009.  My support for the team will still be there, and my heart will break a little watching the boys struggle.  Having said that, if the team, especially younger guys, can stay bought in and continue to be coachable, they will turn it around next year.  That will be a HUGE task for the coaches this year!

Region Roundup.

Cheatham loses to James Lawson 18-15. Neither team looked to be very good from whatvi have been told.

WHH dominated a mediocre Harpeth team. Defense forced serveral turnovers and their running back looked good after coming back from injury.

Sycamore gave up a 21 point lead to lose in double overtime 49-48. They had there chances and couldnt capitalize.

Fairview as stated already lost to a bad but good to their standards East Hickman team.

Stewart county is Stewart county. They also lost.

Yep. The coaches have alot of work to do for sure. I expect to take some lumps but improve throughout the season. Just don't have alot of guys with varsity experience yet.

Stewart County is on the road to 0-10

I will put my money on heritage.

Sycamores defense just gave up 49 points i doubt they will be able to slow Lawson down.

Fairview will have another week of practice to hopefully get better. Unfortunately it will be a running clock by halftime.

Harpeth will run Cheatham off the field.

    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
    • Looks like Trent Noah was released from his NLI at South Carolina with intent to pursue playing closer to home. Kentucky and Louisville both reported to be in the mix for him now.
