Before I would move into that situation I would have came up the road another 35-40 miles and applied for one of the openings in the Knoxville area and with a 12-1 record the coach would have found a decent job somewhere.

This is a great hire. This is not who I heard was interested; he must have become interested later in the process but look for big things out of Sweetwater.

I actually think Sweetwater will be battling Tyner for the region this season, everyone else lost a lot.

The people of Sweetwater are good folks and love their ball.  I think this will turn around quickly!

That’s crazy to say. His son couldn’t hold kippy’s jock strap. King Berrong didn’t have any real winning until Sweetwater finally integrated. Berrong was carried by Anthony Oggs and the rest of those stud athletes like kippy & his family. Go look at King’s coaching record. His talent who learned how to play football before they got to him made him look good.

Sweetwater’s talent won’t be great either. Besides that running back & that great lineman they have they really don’t have anything else. Good luck to the hometown QB. He has zero wrs to throw to. After this season I predict SHS won’t win more than 3 games a season for the next few years. The young guys who are coming up are terrible

You can pretty much judge from the youth programs whether these small town HS teams are going to be good. The next few years Meigs is gonna be hot garbage. Very bad. But again, sweetwater won’t be much either. They have a great running back and a few linemen. That’s it

To be honest the hole region will probably be down beside Tyner. I think Sweetwater will finish 2nd or 3rd but I could be wrong.
