Maryville opened their wallets and got Lamer Brown on the staff at Maryville. I heard he’s making three times what he made at West as the head coach, (and that’s after the boosters paid him). Anyway, now that he’s probably going to bring all of his real estate buddies and his checkbook, I’d expect some Knoxville boys to start heading that way. AE and Fulton are gonna continue to be mediocre.
There’s isn’t an answer to this question because it is entirely dependent on the kids and coach. There are a ton of programs like CC around the state. The best offense is the offense that
1) The coach knows how to coach.
2) Will get kids out to play.
I think initially kids want to come out and play in a spread offense. It’s objectively more fun than the wing T. However, winning football games is more fun than any offense. The wing T, in my experience, struggles to get kids out initially, but if games are being won kids will come.
