According the 10 news and the mountain press, Northview football created a “sideline club” that was not on the books, running it for 2 years while using  $21,000 of football funds to fund and raise money for football, buying things for students athletes, and paying coaches under the table. Essentially this is embezzlement, ,and considering a few years ago they were under scrutiny for recruiting athletes, even bringing two athletes from Knox Catholic with Anderson, what will come of this.

It hasn’t shown in the won loss record & ppl there have stated if the TSSAA hits them over the players who left Catholic for there they have a high powered attorney who is ready to go after the TSSAA for continuing to let a certain school get yearly transfers without having to sit out

How would this big time lawyer help Northview Academy Football Boosters get out of responsibility for committing potential financial crimes by going after T$$AA? Seems like to unrelated issues.

I thought he was saying they’re going to counter sue for an unrelated issue.

Still might be illegal. For one that’s tax fraud paying coaches off the books, and two that’s using money that set aside for funding the football program to fundraise, equip, and support players to raise money without the knowledge of the school, which in pretty much every school needs to be approved. That doesn’t sound bad until someone uses football funds funneled through a club that doesn’t exist on record to do whatever they want with. For example you could take $500 of football money to buy prizes for a silent auction, then turn around and use the proceeds to pay for whatever you want, and no one would know because the money isn’t accounted for by the school, and if you get caught no one could prove what paid for what.

l think if a HC or Boosters club in Knox Co  did this the HC and maybe AD get fired.

l still don't see how this would help the illegal financial activities that Northview is potentially involved in. The state comptroller or IRS don't care about high school football transfers.

I think he was worried about the recruiting a few years ago, that would be wild if they decided to counter sue the tssaa over playing kids illegally playing for them getting in trouble for possible embezzlement. That must mean they actually did some shady stuff if anyone is that worried about recruiting.
