You got that right!

White Co. is scary on back to back days!

I really ge tired of hearing these cookville people gripe.

Like the man said will see by mid season.

By the way why have they had like 4 coaches is the past 4 or 5 years? Whats going on up there? The district will be the toughest in the state to win the winner could have 3 or 4 district losses!

Letsplay2,I'm not sure I know what you mean by scary.

I have played against both Clouse and Rogowsky and sure they are good pitchers but as a team I'm not sure I follow.

If you have only 2 good pitchers for back to back games and both of them tend to throw it right down the gut when they start to get hit then who are you going to go to when they face some of the big time hitting teams in the district. You want them to throw 7 innings twice a week. I don't think so. So the pitching staff is not as scary as you might have thought.

And as for offense I have seen Rogowsky hit and he is decent, haven't seen as much of Clouse but I only know of one other good hitter on that team.

So as a team, like as in wins and loses, and being "scary" do you still think that?

What I meant by scary is that most teams will throw their best pitchers in district and let some of their other, younger pitcher get some work. So that would make White Co. strong on the mound in all dirsrtict games. In the spring due to the cold good pitching will win some ball games and White Co. will have good pitching.

I have read these posts and feel there are names that need to be meationed. There are 2 Adams that play at Cookeville. One has been mentioned. Robby Adams is a smooth SS and plays it as well as anyone. There are 2 excellent catchers that have been mentioned, but there are 2 others that I would have to say can play that position as well as the others mentioned. They are Chad Kerley - Blackman and Adam Militana - Cookeville. Having seen Kerley several times last summer, he can hit with power. If Militana has grown any, he will also be a force. I know that every kid from this district can play and I hate to not mention everyone, but there are some that can't be left off the list. I feel there are others, but I want to leave it to the rest of you to mention their names. Looking forward to an exiting year.

Lobo, I would be interested in who your picks for "pre season" all district are. Maybe name two at each postion and 6 or so pitcher. The names you brought up are fine player. Kerley has good size and power and has been Price's personal catcher. I heard he had a great summer. There are so many good players in this districy it will be hard not to leave some good players off the list.

Letsplay2,

It's hard to pick a preseason team from this district. There are just too many talented athletes. I don't feel it is right to leave some of the names off the list, so I don't mean to offend anyone if their name is not here. Their respective coaches will be the ones that name them to the all district team if they feel they deserve it at the end of the year. I do agree with your list and will give my comments. It looks like you know this district pretty well. I think that Forrest is better suited as an outfielder. He has tremendous speed. I feel that he is the best that they have at Lebanon, therefore he is playing behind the dish. Watson deserves his spot on the list. He is a power hitter and defensively has a strong arm and is a good blocker. Kerley has caught Price the past 2 years. You have to have a catcher that you are comfortable with in order to be a success on the hill. He has a great frame and can hit with power. I agree with the pitching. I know that House at Blackman is overshadowed by Price, but he is only a junior this year and will be a great number 2. The rest of the pitchers deserve their place on the list. If Rogowsky and Clouse had some offense behind them, they could be great. I have to agree that Humphrey is an excellent first baseman. He has the size and glove to play it well. I saw him play outfield last summer and he did a great job. I don't know who will be playing 1B for the other teams in the district. It looks like you have Howard at 3B. I had him down as a 2B last year. He has soft hands and I liked what I saw of him at 2B. If he is at 3B, I am sure he will do a good job there. I also like Kendrick and Adams. I was told Adams would be at SS this year. With a new coach, players may be looking at new positions. I like Richardson and Wilhite from Blackman. I understand that he isn't a regular starter there, but I have seen him make some outstanding plays from that position. He is quick and has soft hands. Alexander at 3B is a strong hitter. I have to only go by what I have heard on defense and I hear he can play. I have seen him play several times, but I don't think that I have seen the first ball hit at him or seen him in any plays. The pitching at Riverdale has been so strong when I've seen them play, he just hasn't had the action. You have mentioned several outfielders. I have to agree with all your picks. The one that seems to stick out above all is Watkins. He is one of the most exciting players that I have ever seen at the high school level. I enjoy watching him hit and then take off like a cannon. I saw him outrun a routine grounder to 2B last year and then steal 2B and 3B on the next 2 pitches. Well, you asked for it. As you can see, we have very similar opinions. I have seen where a couple of these players have commited. Let me know if you hear anything on the others.

    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
