I`ve read all the posts on these two guys.Dont know much about them, but did check out the schedule board to see who these two guys have played this year.I will say one thing and that is their schedule is very weak compared to the likes of other AA`s like McMinn Central and Jackson County.I feel those teams who test themselves early before district play starts tend to win out in the end.

Here we go again.

I not only looked at the schedule, but the results of their respective games as well. Three of the four schools in question here AVERAGE 25 pts a game more than their opponent. The only reason the other one (Jackson Co.) is not is because of the loses and it is still at 13 pts a game.

Go look at some of the scores. For averages to be that high there has to be some "cans opened up." Maybe that is because these four schools that you have mentioned simply beat the crap out of everyone they play. Heck, maybe they just might be that good.

A true measure of a schedule is if and how bad you beat the schools on it. Another one is if your team won those close games.

So I have a little advice for you, quit throwing rocks in your glass house.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
