I dont know who everyone is on this post, but if they truly know Mario, they know that his talents are far much better than anyone he has played against and probably anyone that would challenge him. If Mario would play his hardest for an entire game, it would be amazing to watch. He only plays to about 70% of his potential until the game is on the line and then he just takes over and dominates. And whoever said that Mario shoots too much and his shooting % is probably really low should realize that our team doesnt have too many star athletes and that they depend on Mario the entire game. Mario is the only player that will step up to the challenge when the game in on the line and he doesnt get much help when everyone depends on him to win the game every time out. I wish that everyone else would realize how much pressure is put on Mario every game. He truly is an amazing player and has more talent than anyone else out there. Keep at it Mario, those of us who truly know you, know how great you can play.

If I won't laugh then where do you roll at, well brother speak up since you got no love for mine. You bring anybody you want from the Upper Cumberland, from Smith County??? or Macon??? and I will tell Mario that you are coming and we can set something up like a one-on-one!! I cannot believe that you are dissing someone that you don't even know and from your judge of talent sounds like he would wipe the floor with you too!!!! This is hillarious!!!

Cavs35, can you believe this clown!

This is to all Mario lovers who thought he was going to roll over White County....hahahahaha!!!! Mario was held in check to 12 points! Even though his team did upset that's right upset White County, he didn't score jack! And to make things even worse he could have hit some free throws to ice the game and missed the fron end of a one and one. Cookville you guys got lucky that is all i can say!!

And bythe way your boy Mario is over-rated!!!! ;)

Mr. layup, how can you say he is overrated? Wow he only scored 12 pts. so what!! Did they win? A win is a win in my book and that's the important thing. Did Jordan play well every game? Thank you, and he has missed free throws before too. He will not hit 30 pts a game, and I would appreciate it if you would stop hating on my cousin. Don't hate on our family because we have talent. He may be the best player in the district or state, but no one will ever know that will they? GOOD LUCK CUZ AND ALCOA IS BEHIND YA 100%!!!

PEOPLE ONLY HATE ON YOU BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW YOU OR THEY'RE JUST JEALOUS!!!!! :D

That's darn strait. A true fan of basketball cannot help but be admired by Mario's ability. I don't think itould have said it any better....people only hate because they don't know or they want to be half as good as him. And layup since you oviously don't follow Cookeville basketball, if you follow Sparta basketball then you know that almost every game these two have played the last 2-3 years have been REALLY low scoring because they know each other so well. One last year I think was 19-17. If you went to the game then you saw Mario take only take about half as many shots as he usually does and stil led Cookeville in scoring. They also double and triple teamed him as soon as he got across half court with the ball so he was forced to pass. And not to mention at the end of the game when he got the ball with under 30 seconds left they fouled him and since that was only 6 team fouls they gave it to Mario again and again he was fouled. WHY??? Because they have a tremendous amount of respect for him and what he can do. Unlike you!

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
