KELL44
Yes it is true that Bledsoe canceled for Saturday night. I think we all know the real reason and it's not because of "SNOW". They haven't played now in two weeks. Weak out of shape legs make for a bad performance. I feel if the host team (Seq) didn't call off the game, then it should be a forfeit on Bledsoe's part. They just were scared to come to Dunlap and play after such a long off period. You know the mountains are clear now, it's 45 degrees!! There was a huge youth revival in Gatlinburg this weekend that some of the Sequatchie players were planning to attend, but canceled their plans to accomidate the Bledsoe game being played on Saturday night. there were 5 players and 2 cheerleaders that didn't get to attend the revival because of the game, that now has been called off because of "SNOW". Sequatchie
I agree I think they should have played today and Sequatchie should not have let them get out of playing it tonight!
Indian
I would have told Bledsoe they had better be there at 6:00 pm. If it's time and they're still not there, read the TSSAA announcement as required, blow the whistle, have Kell tip the ball to Harvey from the center circle and win the game 2-0. Same in boys. The visiting team shouldn't have control over such things, but for some reason it seems the school here doesn't want to offend anyone and always will be the nice guy. Sometimes you need to put your foot down, especially since this is the second postponement. The next time they are supposed to play might be the night after Sequatchie plays 2 overtimes, who knows. If the middle school really played and the high school "couldn't" then this should be looked into. Sequatchie
I wonder if they will like playing Walker Valley tomorrow night? You would think they would have wanted to play Sequatchie before playing them they then play Van Buren tuesday so we should say we want the game on Wednesday night! KELL44
The middle school didn't play on Saturday, but it was their Junior Pro league that was playing at the school on Saturday afternoon. So the roads were not too bad for a bunch of young kids to get together and play some round ball. It's obvious why Bledsoe decided not to play us Saturday night. Now the game will be rescheduled to their advantage and not ours. With all their postponed games they are going to be playing every night from now until the end of season.
