Is the 5 game suspention really what is needed to make him stop? Coaches will definetly look at this as a guidline. Do something wrong and miss a few games big deal. I mean if it was his first dumb mistake it would be different but come on just because you are a coach doesn't give you permission to do whatever you want. At school if we are late once you miss break, twice you miss it again but the third time they see you could care less about break so they stick you in iss(in school suspension). Maybe things work differently in the real world where you can do whatever and get away with it. I thank butch for all the good memories but he's hurt this team as much as he has helped it. DC will go to state no matter who coaches so it doesn't really matter!

I hear that Sam Miles has decided for this to go away as a deal that the numerous infractions by Dyersburg are not made public.

 

Also the TSSAA lost the Brentwood case and does not need another court case that they would lose.

 

Time to move on to the post season. DC should not and will not support Dyersburg as long as Miles is at the school. All future games in all sports should be canceled between the two schools.

The two SHOULD NOT quit playing each other. This has become such a great rivalry that it would be crazy to stop it.

 

High School athletics is about HIGH SCHOOL KIDS, not people who live and die with the success of their respective High School team.

 

Yoda, Dyer Co. WILL NOT make it to the 'Boro if Coach Hopkins is not patrolling the sideline. They are extremely talented, but they need him on the court. He is a motivator and a student of the game. He is why Dyer Co. is where they are today.

      We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.

      Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.

      I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.

      I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
