dude, your upcoming seniors were destroyed by jeff.co. (30-0) when they were freshman. as for your class, assuming you will be a junior, you beat jeff.co. (8-7) when you were a freshman. the game was in doubt to the very end. come down to earth mountainman; you are really out there, far, far away.

Maryville will have a very good freshmen team. Tyler Maples(Younger brother of Ryan Maples) will be a great receiver. He can fly. Joseph Miranda is the son of Ralph Miranda. Ralph played football at Notre Dame when Joe Montana was there.Ralph was a linebacker. Joseph is following in DADS footsteps. He will give you the snot bubble. Adrian Baker(Younger brother of Colton Baker) is already a 180 lbs running back.He will be the next Carl Stewart. Ryan Singleton is another stud running back. He is 180 lbs also. The line will be good with David Ellis coaching them. There were some pretty big boys in the 8th grade class last year. TJ Franklin will be a good defensive end. There are many other players you will hear from. Lots of athletes in this class.

Bradley Central is going to have an awesome freshmen team this year. We have a great group from Ocoee Middle and another great group from Lake Forrest Middle. We will make a name for ourselves this upcoming season.

Come on, people! You can't arbitrarily say that just because a group of 8th graders were good, they are going to have the same success in the 9th grade. Bodies change and seemingly talentless people become talented and conversely, guys who rocked the house in middle school sometimes get blown away by guys who were benchwarmers in jr. high.

We are all making predictions based on incoming talent. Some kids will become lazy and some will grow stronger. Who knows how they will do in the new school they go to. It is up to the High School Head Coach to have a data base of his incoming 9th graders in order to get them physicals in the beginning of summer in order to condition them for Fall ball. Some coaches will do their homework and others will not. Some Middle Schoolers will move addresses in order to play for their Coach/School of choice. Some Middle Schoolers will play AAU basketball this summer and be recruited to BA, MBA, or Pope John Paul II. This is only for the Middle Tennessee area. I am not familiar with East and West Tennessee Freshman ball.

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
