Cheerleading vs Basketball

Why do so many people HATE cheerleaders? If it's not fans, it's the basketball teams in some cases. We want some true, honest opinions!

at my school....cloudland...the cheerleaders HATE the girls basketball team....they love the football players b/c they say that they like cheering for a winning team....but our girls are just as successful....i don't know about your cheerleaders....but ours just don't try....that's why we don't get along

well anyways i think that in some cases that the prob is jealous,it is mostly the varsity girls that does not like the cheerleaders

i cant imagine basketball without cheerleaders. it just wouldnt be the same without them gettin the crowd pumped up during an exciting game....

Some cheerleaders are worth paying to see. Some work like crazy and treat cheerleading as a sport. I have great respect for cheerleaders who work that hard and go to competitions. They add to any game. Those kind of cheerleaders deserve everyone's respect.

At McMinn Central the girls basketball team and the cheerleaders get along just fine. As a matter of fact every time the team goes anywhere (state, ect.) the squad is right behind them usually with a gift basket or something and this also works in reverse to.

I believe that cheerleading is a sport when there are competitions and things for them to compete and work at, but however most of the area cheerleaders are only there to look pretty.

can i ask who you are....i personally don't have anything against the cheerleaders....i cheered with all of you i think...and i'm sorry for the way that the basketball team treats the cheerleaders...

Cheerleaders get on my nerves.....maybe its just ours because they stink. But I really hope people dont pay to see the cheerleaders? Thats awful....they stand there and yell out lil cute cheers.How hard is that? Of course, maybe if your cheerleader actually get into the game and get the crowd motivated then, go cheerleaders. But ours can barely do a thing.

Kingston basketball cheerleaders don't seem to do much. I don't hate them by any stretch; I really don't pay that much attention to them. Then again, they usually don't do anything to get the crowd's attention.
