Wendell Sturdivant District 10-AAA MVP

Wendell Sturdivant of Henry County was voted 10-AAA MVP today at the Distict Meetings. I believe Tario Fredrick of Clarksville was second in the voting.

2 Henry Co. 8-4 #2 seed - play Dickson/Kenwood?

2 Northwest 8-4 #3 seed - play Dickson/Kenwood

4 Northeast 5-7 #4 seed - play Rossview

4 Rossview 5-7 #5 seed - play NE

6 Dickson Co. 3-9 #6 or #7 seed - play Henry/NW?

6 Kenwood 3-9 #6 or #7 seed - play Henry/NW?

I just want to congratulate Wendell. I'm from Henry County and played Junior High and Freshmen ball with him until i blew out my knee 3 times and had to give basketball up. Wendell is an extremely talented athlete and very good student and person.

 

But good luck to all teams in the tourney, and see y'all at Rossview.

I didn't expect him to win it really...but I am glad he did. I hope the Patriots can get to playing like they were a few weeks ago...and make a a nice run.

I'm a big fan of his personally, I enjoy watching him play but I thought that Clarksville's Tario Frederick should have won it. Alot of coaches in the district can tell you how to huard him but they(Clarksville) wouldnt be #1 in the district along with 10-2 if he wasnt on the team. I thought that Tario was more valuable to CHS than Sturdivant was to Henry Co. But my second vote would have went to Sturdivant..Both are great ball players and good kids as well..Good luck to all teams(Boys and Girls) in this weeksn district tournament.
