It took 20 years, but Powell wins County Championship

The Third time was the charm for the Powell boys team, who took home their first County title in 20 years. The Panthers had been close the last time they faced the Demons in a 46-47 loss at Halls. The Panthers were down early in the first half as the Demons long range shooting was on, a late three by Halls gave them a 1 point lead with :06 remaining in the first half, but a drive and a long three at the buzzer gave Powell the lead and the momentum. Powell slowly began to pull away in the second half making Halls pay for turnovers. The Demons could never find any consistency on offense in the second half, and Powell made their free throws late in the game and Claimed the title 56-45.
