My vote goes to Monica Dunham, Sophomore at Franklin High

School. If she was the State Tourn MVP last year........

She's the "real deal" folks. With another year strength

and conditioning behind her, all I can say is watch and enjoy, players like her don't come around very often. :(

possibly holly hullender of ooltewah. she hd an excellent season last year leading the area in scoring for a while but not finishing al that strong. she is an excellent player with skill, pace, a scorers touch, and good conditioning. she will be aided by the fact that ooltewah as a team has an oustanding core of players returning

I wouldn't say Monica Dunham is the best player in the state because I don't think she is even the best player on her team. The player on Franklins team is for sure Kaley Forrest. She might even be the best in the state. If she wouldnt have hurt her ankle in the state semifinals she probally would have gotten the MVP but its hard to play with a hurt ankle thats wrapped so tight you cant move it. But Monica is a good player to I just think that Kaley has more experience and that will be a big factor.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
