What is the big surprise. Oakland has been a guard oriented team for the last 8 years. Shelbyville shut down the guards, kept Hayes and Webb to minimal points. And with the help of Nikki Hughes from Blackman, didn't have to defend the inside game of Sarah Riddle because she was on the bench injured. And with Riddle on the bench Oakland had no defensive answer to Fuller in the paint and she scored when and where she wanted with her mid range jumper. If you look at last year's game and this year's game the difference was at the post position. A lessen Oakland needs to remember for next year.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
