Baseball345
I am not an Ezell fan but last year he hit .568 42 RBI's and 8 home runs and made all distric and all region as an eighth grader.went 6-2 on the mound throws mid 80's consistantly and threw a one hitter against Goodpasture. dgeeman
Steven Huff the 9th grader continues to be a great player...he is 1-0 as a pitcher, already has 2 long balls, and a bunch of extra base hits. He's pretty good and has my vote for best. Mr. Gee
Baseball345
First of all it was a one hitter and oh yea read this 4/25/02 Eagles Baseball Team Hands Goodpasture First District Loss Of The Season! 04/30/2002 Ezell's Eighth Grade Phenom Steven Huff helped the Eagles to their best week of district play by pitching a one-hitter and hitting a monsterous home run to deep centerfield at Goodpasture today. Combined with a win against CPA #2 and Goodpasture #1 it appears that the Eagles are primed to be contenders going into the District Tournament next week at Shelby. The Eagles banged out 11 hits and flexed some muscles from the left side of the plate as Steven Huff hit his 3rd homerun of the season and Logan Huffman hit his 5th of the season. The win against Goodpasture marked Ezell's first win against the Cougars in baseball maybe as far as 1987 according to former coach Mark Lovell, Jon Mark's dad. To all that was present it was a great victory and a great game played by all the Eagles. Go Eagles! We'll see you at Shelby... p.s. it was in the news paper but good try
eagle79
Jacob Bratcher, Josh Bratcher, Brooks Majors. All of these kids have started, Jacob being the best at catcher.
Guest cavalier29
Brandon Crossman is a good freshman player at Cookeville. He played in a Varsity game against McGavok High School friday night. He has gone yard twice this year, and has many extra base hits. He is also a great catcher.
