don't know the truth about coach clark's leaving, but perhaps an ideal replacement would be jason burleson, the current assistant coach, who proved himself as a great middle school coach at ethridge, and was taught by one of the best, gene mcbee.

I know he got his 100 win this year. He has been at Lawrence Co. 5 yrs. I think. He seems to be a great coach. The kids really respect him. I would be a shame to see a hometown boy who has done so well give it up!!

In my own humble opinion, i believe that he should give it up. Anyone who could waste the kind of talent he had 2 years ago and go no farther than 2nd round of region should step aside and give someone else a shot at it. He has failed lawrence county time and time again and its time 2 move on. And I hope for the sake of the boys that he does this, and isn't selfish enuff 2 come back. He got 100, now let it go.
