I agree with you guys also. But one thing... If sarah was to move her senior year, that'd be rough on HER! unless she went somewhere in the district, b/c she has played against the girls in 11A and so it wouldn't be as hard cuz she'd have SOME idea. I agree with everything you 2 say, b/c if i was her i'd try an move too. what do you all think?

So if you were at a school, and people started telling you that your team was not going to be any good, the administration at your school felt the same way. Just b/c some seniors left. Where is your faith in your team, b/c if you don't faith that yuo can step up and show the younger girls how easy it is to step up and score. Then you will not make it at any school, b/c before you can lead you must follow.... With Sarah staying at Eagleville, she will show and help nurture the younger girls playing abilities, Karper will be a great asset to whoever the new coach is. Sarah knows what it takes to get to the top, and I feel that she will help lead this young team to another year filled with suprises. For I have talked to Karper and all the returning players, I told them: Have faith, work hard, never give up, and you will be rewarded. So, I believe that if people will just have faith in this team, they will show everyone one he** of a year... GO LADY EAGLES!!!!

I am not here to agree or disagree with anyone. I am just wanting to tell everyone my opinion...

#1- Karper WOULD( i think ) get looked at more from colleges if she left.

#2- She has got everything colleges look for. she can handle the ball, she can pass, dish, pitch, shoot the jumper, drive for the foul, step back and shoot the 3, fade away, and even hang in the air.

#3- most IMPORTANTLY she is faithful to her team-mates. I know this girl... She wont leave. She has been at EHS I know of since 7th grade. I watched her play ball. I knew she was something special.

~~ Some of the team- mates ( I KNOW for a FACT) talk trash about her, and think she doesn't care about anyone but herself. But what the younger ones need to realize or even the ONES that are the same age is, that Karper is the LEADER on the team this coming year. she is going to be the ROCK and the one that carries the team unless she falls apart then someone will have to take her spot. UNLESS that happens, she will be everything she needs to be to get back to the TOP and if no one believes me- just u wait. karper is no quitter. i traveled out to EHS all year to watch her play... a 1 hr drive!!! and i know that shes no quitter!!

--- Lady Eagles show um how it's done!

Postup, I will agree on most everything that you mentioned except for these. Karper doesn't care for just herself, b/c if she did then why is she still at Eagleville???? Which by the way she is not leavng anytime soon... Okay yea there are several that talk about Sarah behind her back, but they are just jealous b/c she got to start. Though there is one who is her same age that if she doesn't shape up she could not be playing at all next year. Yea Karper can do it all, just Taurasi for UCONN can, but just like Geno Auriema said: "I have Taurasi and you don't". I have to say the same for Eagleville: "We have Karper and you don't".. And to me if a college is looking for someone like Karper, they will know where to find her. For when you ask a b-ball player in rutherford co., "Who is Sarah Karper?" I can trust you they will know who they are talking about. The girl that can do it all....

I will agree with u sportsfan16, but I NEVER said that she only cared about herself. what i said was " People on the team say that she only cares about herself" which I KNOW is not true. so it seems like you and Myself see eye to eye.

Comparing sarah to taurasi.. hmm, never thought about that one, but i will agree. And i am sorry, yes if people are looking for someone, they will know where to find her, I was wrong on that suggestion. Karper will shine like no other in Rutherford County!

Postup, sorry about the confusion on my part, I guess I misread the part of your post. SO, yea for the most part we do see eye to eye, and am glad we do. The Taurasi thing, yea I watched her play in the NCCA tournament and no matter what defense was put on her, she would make a play and score. Just as Karper will do when she tries for it. Hey Sarah I know you thought the comparison is funny, but it is true. Can't to watch you shine this next year...

Moore Countys Coach Sessions did not retire. She has only one starter returning and that is the Fletcher kid. Really don't know of the other players moving up.

Boy, you guys are better than watching ESPN on predictions-very interesting. Want to see some ball movement? Go watch the AAU 17u team out of Eagleville with some of the best of the rest in dis 11 A along with Karper to see what can be done. BTW Fallon is gone at mc (kicked off) and YES Anna is back at Culleoka along with all 4 other starters, and a strong freshman class that only lost 3 games in middle school this year and won a couple of tournaments. Also BTW Anna has a sister to look out for. She plays for Shelbyville's AAU Program.

Huntland will win the district mark it down! Second of all how good is this Karper girl and I want to hear from some people who are not from Eagleville. The way this sounds you have the next making of a WNBA star and I just do not see her being that good. I mean she is a good high school player that will get a chance to play at the next level but not at D1 i dont think, but I may be wrong! And some of you that say she is wrong if she leaves I disagree. If a athlete has a chance to play at the next level then why not try and better your chances and go to another school. I think she could be in for a rough year next year cause she will face all kind of defenses that will concentrate on her and she will have no help next year. I mean Rigsby is gone as well as the other good guard they had. If she does stay I think some of you people will finally realize what I have said all along and that is that Rigsby helped her be as good as she is because she could create some of her shots for her. In the past teams had to worry about more that karper and not now. SO we will see and maybe she will prove me wrong.

I TOTALLY agree btru23. Rigsby was a huge part of Eagleville's success and all those haters out there will now realize. Karper is good but not as good as people make her out to be. Cowley from Cascade may be the best guard in both District 11-a and 12-a. And Bowers is definitely the best point guard from Huntland with a great supporting class, in Dist. 11-a.

    • A complete cultural change happened at Greeneville and the administration and community opened up their checkbooks.  What a lot of people don't know is Ballard was Zeller's OC for many years and stopped coaching for two years because Zeller and Ballard didn't see eye to eye on some things.  Zeller lead Greeneville to it's first ever Semi Final appearance in 2000 and lost 28-12 at Maryville and had them in the Quarter Finals in 2002 and 2003.  Z was a great coach but lost some control when it came to making workouts mandatory. (He learned from that Mistake and it was at LC when i coached with him.).  Z was let go going into my Senior Year and was replaced by Steve McCurry who was the one that turned the program around.  Steve had won a 4a state championship at AC Reynolds in Asheville and made the administration completely redo the weight room with new equipment, had a football period at the end of the school day to lift, started devil camp, and brought in coaches like Danny Bentley (Still the OL coach), Ballard as the OC, Cody Baugh (QB coach and still there), and even Spradlen who is Greeneville's head coach now as the DB's Coach.  McCurry only coached for two seasons at Greeneville and took a team that had a losing record the year before and finished my Senior Year making it to the Quarters and having a 10-3 record and then followed it up with a Semi Final appearance the next year with an 11-3 record and back to back conference championships.  Loved McCurry to death but the recession hit and the story i heard was he was still buying new equipment for the team that the Principal didn't authorize and his response was "I don't answer to you and only to Niswonger and Bewley" (Two huge donors).  That was it for him and they Promoted Ballard shortly after that.   Greeneville had always been relevant ever since the the late 70's under Coach Fred Sorrell's.  Since Sorrell's took over in 1977 Greeneville overall winning percentage is over 76%.  The biggest reason people might not have thought Greeneville was "Good" until Ballard was Greeneville always played up Classification wise and could never get over the hump. (When there were 3 classifications we played 3a, when it went to 5 we played 4a).  Greeneville is the largest its ever been with 953 students and where playing teams 2 or 3 times there size back in the day (I had a little over 800 kids in the school when i graduated in 2008).  Other teams always would know they would be sore after a game but depth took over and never won a Championship until Greeneville played in the classification the TSSAA actually assigned them. You had names like Dustin Moore (1993 Mr Football for 3a and who Phillip Fulmer said was one of the greatest athletes he ever recruited), James "Mud Turtle" Mayes, Brigham Lyons, Byron Gillespie, Frankie Debusk (National Champion Qb at Furman with GQ), Jasmine Lowery, Cody Baugh, The Greenway Brothers, Joe Watson (Furman), etc.  Now the cultural is from the Pee Wee league up and you grow up as a young kid wanting to wear the Greene and White.  Here is a really good link when it comes to anything Greeneville Football related. https://greenevillefootball.com/   I also don't coach anymore.  Z told me i was to smart with how the school systems are ran these days and ended up going into real estate in Knoxville which has been a great decision for my life.
    • Yes, they will. I'm wondering what kinds of strides Sale Creek will make heading into the second season under Coach Fitz.
    • No yellow stripes on the rug last night. Biggest crowd I’ve seen at 825 since the alco debacle.
    • I know most Pirate starters were seniors last year. Im not sure how accurate it is but someone said we only have 3 seniors. That Prep team will probably make some noise this coming season too.
