Blue21SallyAt7
Is Stewart doing the Decatholon?
peacemaker
We ran you guys- and you have one great 400m runner- if I remember correctly- and a pretty descent distant runner! I dont remember alot about the girls!
mhsrbl202
I'm pretty sure he's doing the decathalon, but don't quote me on that. He's definitely got the ability to excel at it, though.
MaryvilleRebels
Carl is doing the decathlon and has the chance and ability to win it. Last year going into the mile he was 1st by 400 points and ended up 5th, he needs work on his mile, then he's set. Our field events and our relays carry us, the boys anyway. Carl Stewart, Brandon Waters, Aaron May, and a few of the smaller and younger boys that grap points help boost the teams chances of winning. This year we've only lost two meets, one to Bradley Central and another was the "Snake" Relays. We have great 400 runners in Carl Stewart, Dave Garner, Drew Galyon, Nick Wilbur and Matt Oliver...all 5 are great competitors! The 400 is definetly one of our strongest races. Next Monday we run Blount County and we believe that we have a great chance to win it. It will be tough, but we're going to do everything we can. KGP3428
Carl Stewart was not winning by 400 points going into the 1500. The lead he had was closer to 50 points. Anyways, he will really do well this year if he can even manage to run a halfway decent 1500...5:56 is pretty pathetic for a standout high school athlete. MaryvilleRebels
He told me last night that he was up by 400, I'll take his word for it, but whatever! Actually its not a TERRIBLE time, its not great, but the mile is definetly not something he excels at, besides its 1600 meters.
KGP3428
First off, what he told you is wrong...so I wouldn't take his word for it. Going into the last event, Carl was in the lead by 24 points. Secondly, the 1500 is run in a decathlon, not the 1600 (I've run a few of them in my day). Lastly, 5:56 in the 1500 for a high school athlete (who will play college football) is Terrible. It's nothing personal against Carl...it's just reality. MaryvilleRebels
50, 24...why don't you make up your mind! Besides I will still take his word for it! Also, I don't think anyone at Auburn really cares what his 1500/1600 time is, as long as he keeps putting people on their butts and scores on the board! Blue21SallyAt7
he might put scores on the board, but they wont be from taking handoffs. They'll be from fumble recoveries and interceptions from Safety/OLB
KGP3428
The second time around, I took the time to look at last year's results and calculated the scores after the high jump. He was in the lead by 24 points. So there, you can believe the facts, or continue in your state of denial.
MaryvilleRebels
Blue, he'll transfer if they put him on defense, I guarantee you! Tennessee recruited him as a linebacker and he didn't go there, why would he go to Auburn and let them change him to a linebacker when he could have done it at Tennessee? Also, I am going to continue my state of "denial" K...its more fun that way!
