Oaklands Sping Practice ???

Can anyone give us the 411 on how things are going, and if they have finished? Maybe tell us of any surprises or highlights!

Oakland has finished their spring practice. Because of the time that they went out, they were unable to schedule any scrimmages. However, they did have a Blue/white game . They lack depth, thanks to Siegel. They are also small. The white team was a little top-heavy on the talent in my opinion. However the blue team hung in there. Both Crawford boys looked sharp. It was freezing cold and truthfully I did not get a real good look at the team.I was already sick and had to keep heading to my car to some heat. A big sissy, I know! You can always tell more against another opponent.

I know what ya mean about the cold and sickness. Is it that dang upper respitory virus that's giving everyone fits this year? Hope ya get to feeling better soon! Back to the subject, how did AJ and Carlos look together? Where did they put AJ on defense? Did the O-line replacements look good? If they did you guys should be the team to beat next year! Wonder why Oakland has their spring practice so early? One it's to cold, two this year they had no one to scrimmage? They missed a good opportunity this spring to get a good look at what they can do against another team! Well I guess that's enough of 20 questions?(lol) Thanks again for the report fanman!!!

ACtually slim, their practice was late this year. its usually in the first week of march. i dont know why they moved it though. I think that region4fan is right, the white team did have a lil better talent.I think that aj did a good job during the 2 weeks that i saw. i think he is gonna be pretty good. I know on the 0-line, they put Brandon demers and right guard, bo jones at center, and matt smith at left guard. i think, personally, that they will be pretty good this year.

Slim...I believe that Aj will be playing Defensive End.I also heard that Oakland snagged another Riverdale player in the zone wars. He did not practice with them in spring, but was in the stands watching the Blue/white game.I think his last name was Powell? When does Blackman go out?

 

I think that the later spring break had something to do with the change in spring practice. I know better than to question Marty....but I think waiting until your baseball and other spring sports players are able to practice is a good idea. Then again...it may cause someone to step up that you otherwise would miss????will Siegel go out for spring, or is that forbidden by tssaa?

Blackman's spring practice starts the 21st of April.

 

Siegal is going to have a spring practice. I have already gotten the schedule. The 21st - 23rd is our gear pick up. So our first practice will be on the 24th.
