I didn't know that bowling was a high school sport. Very interesting!!

Tennessee is approximately the 9th state to offer bowling as a sanctioned high school sport. Hendersonville's boys and the girls teams from Mount Juliet and Elliston Baptist have each won both state titles so far in their respective divisions; Division II boys was the only one where the 2002 champion did not repeat, as Baylor lost a close one to St. Benedict in the quarterfinals. The current D2 boys champion is Christian Brothers.

Approximately how teams are there right now and what kind of classifications are there? Also is the TSSAA the governing body of bowling too?

If the TSSAA is the sanctioning board for bowling, then I give bowling about another year before it is screwed up just like all the other sports.
