HV - I'm sorry that Karns' season is at an end, but at least you know you were beat by the best. Sounds like Craig was pitching the same as against West earlier in the season.

Good luck to young Wes and his surgery. Here's hoping for a fast recovery.

Congratulations FA15, Soupkitchen and the rest of the Admirals. You continue to do District 4AAA and the Knoxville area proud.

Nice job tonight Kyle. Your homeruns were still on the way up when they went over the wall. Nice job to the rest of the guys for your hits. (Harry, Tony, Mike, Phil, and Clint) Nice pitching Craig. Lets get better at practice tomorrow and play a good game on Wednesday vs. Marryville.

first, i would like to say thank you to hv, for answering me with a simple and plain answer. i just moved into the area recently and was just looking for an simple answer. for the rest of you, i was also just wondering when you go and shake someone's hand, how many state championship rings do you have around those fingers? i was always taught that second was for losers.

Tommy-How many rings do you have and how many national rankings has your team been in? I don't play for Farragut or even know anyone that goes there, I live in the Chattanooga area, but it sounds to me like you're just trying to start something. The first post was fine, but then the inciting question in your last post, and it was only your second one. Sour grapes maybe?

It remains to be seen whether Farragut can bring the ring home this year or not. But the past years are history. Farragut's current ranking is based on what they've accomplished this year. I know nothing about USA Today and how they compile their ratings. I'm sure most of us agree that national high school rankings are subjective at best because there's no way to evaluate most of these teams in head to head competition.

But we do know this:

Farragut is 42-1, dominating most games.

They have defeated premier teams from across the state and Alabama. Their only loss is a close game in which they didn't pitch one of their top 4 or 5 starters.

Teams that Farragut has handily defeated from the Knoxville area have routinely defeated teams from other areas of the state.

They lost their leading homerun hitter halfway through the season and didn't miss a beat.

There are NO weaknesses in their batting order.

If Farragut had rolled up these wins against small single-A schools, one might have an argument about their strength. But Farragut has played as competitive a schedule as any school in the state.

We'll have to wait and see whether the Admirals can maintain their focus and win the state tournament. They have some tough games remaining including their matchup with Maryville in the Regional finals. But I'd like to see 25 teams better than this group. JMHO.

tommy we could care less what you say about us because your baseball knowledge is probably close to nothing. Truthfully, baseball rankings dont mean anything and all that matters is what happens in the end. Your invective language means nothing to us and it really only makes me laugh so keep making more awesome posts.

tommy.....

if you are in the Knoxville area and have open time this week maybe on wednesday or on friday in the game hopefully we will be hosting... i would be glad to pay for your admission to see us play and so you can see we are a great group of people, have great fans, and are working on having a quality baseball team. Oh yeah and for the fact that we could earn some of your respect because it doesnt look like it is there since we dont have a ring on all fingers in our 4 years of high school.

Tommy...so your new in town...i understand you want some attenion and all but is it really neccessary to try and be a badass...farragut has made some amazing accomplishments this year and i'd be willing to bet that you , and your family (if you even have one) haven't come close to what farragut has done this year.. Farragut is one of the premier programs in tennessee others are Oakland, germantown, DB..and the others know who they are. they one one thing in common. CLASS.. you yourself have none..i'd like to meet you face to face so i could put you in your place..Farragut doesn't need sh*t like you to get in their way. A champion has class and probably wouldnt be wearing a ring on the darn field. The players are humble and dont rant and rave about their rankings .they just take care of buisness. they dont deserve to get sh*tted on by someone who is as worthless as you.

    • Trust me, and I am speaking for everyone in West Tennessee. Based on what you just said, I know for a fact you never watched this kid play in person.
    • Coaches,   I hope that this note finds you all doing well.  I know many of you have or are working on your schedules for next season.  I wanted to pass along information for the 2025 CBHS Duals.   We still have a few spots available for the dual and are looking for teams to help fill them.   This year we are shifting the events back to the CBHS campus and back to our traditional weekend of the third weekend in January, the 18th to be precise.    If you would like to reserve one of the spots in the CBHS Duals please reach out and let me know.  Similarly, if you plan to send a squad for the JV event then let me know.  You do not have to attend both events, but our hope is larger programs will take the opportunity to get their full squad on the mat.   We plan to accept 12 teams for the duals this year with the shift back to our high school campus.  Even if you have previously discussed attending with Coach Harrison, please confirm with me via e-mail.   Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.  Those of you that know me and our events know I take great care in running excellent events and this weekend's activities will continue that trend.   Thanks, Garrett House Coach - Wave Wrestling Club Tournament Director - CBHS Duals / JV Clash (c) 901-289-3795 garrett.house@gmail.com
    • Georgia commit DL Stephon Shivers announces he will leave Humboldt High School in Memphis to attend Brentwood Academy High School in Nashville for his senior year. Good move for the kid. Himboldt was awful, and somehow getting worse with all their players leaving for other high schools in Memphis. A very underrated prospect moves very fast for his size, and his releases off the line are insane. A very good pick-up for Brentwood Academy.
    • Great post and on point about the LB's. I would look to see Mason Batten get alot of reps and fill one of the LB's spots. Defensive and offensive line should be very good.  On the offensive side, Tate Surber has weapons all around him.  Backfield could see a mixture of RB's but I would anticipate Timmy Airline and Colt Norden getting the majority of the totes.  Norden will also be a big threat down the field in the passing game along with Cole Brown, Jacobi Melton, and Martez Teague.  Jacobi Melton is probably the fastest kid on the team. He can flat move.   As far as the offensive strategy, the weapons are for sure there to run that 4/5 wide no huddle.  But, do we have the depth to run a fast pace, no huddle and keep kids fresh for four quarters?  Time will tell.  One thing is for sure, the pieces are there to make a deep run, but we don't want to put the cart before the horse.
    • McKenzie has to replace some very good players on defense especially @ linebacker. I am hearing the roster numbers are way up so far this year . A couple players from the 2022 team are back out for their senior year I  heard. Hearing the main offensive philosophy  maybe  moving toward a no huddle 4/5 WR and very fast paced. After exceeding  expectations last year and even holding their own in the championship game with what this team has back they  should be deep into the playoffs again this year. The defensive side of the ball is what I will be paying close attention too. I thought down the stretch last year, their defense was what really carried them through the playoffs.
