Middle Schools and some high schools have their own plans (like 99 suggested) but the TSSAA states that you have to pass 4 or 5, or 6 of 8 (based on your regular or block plan). If you need a credit, you must pass it in the summer. If a kid is caught playing without having passed the appropriate number of credits the previous year, there is a fine placed on the school for lying on the TSSAA Roster report and every game the player played in becomes a forfeit. The player is also ineligible for 12 months.
