If you play and you do not get the required amount of credits to play the next year will TSSAA let you make up the credit in summer school or are you just out for the next year?

you can make the credits up in summer school....if u dont pass summer school though, u still dont get to play.

That is crazy... has it always been like that.... i always thought if went be 6 weeks... so if u don't make the grades one year u can't play the next??? oh my... that is crazy!!! but anyway... til next time.... have a good day!!

yea, if u dont pass 5 classes on the year, u cant participate in sports th next year....

I don't have a problem with that at all, afterall you are at school to learn. If you plan to go to college to play ball, you kind of have to graduate from high school first.

Middle Schools and some high schools have their own plans (like 99 suggested) but the TSSAA states that you have to pass 4 or 5, or 6 of 8 (based on your regular or block plan). If you need a credit, you must pass it in the summer. If a kid is caught playing without having passed the appropriate number of credits the previous year, there is a fine placed on the school for lying on the TSSAA Roster report and every game the player played in becomes a forfeit. The player is also ineligible for 12 months.

The TSSAA has requirements just like the NCAA does in major college ball. You are not at school to play sports. You are in school to learn. Sports are a luxury that is earned through hard work in the classroom.
