USJ vs. Fayette Academy

Last year this game was the deciding game for the Region 7 Championship. The only thing uglier than the game was the weather as USJ pulled out a 12-0 victory on a wet field at USJ. This year the Bruins travel to Somerville. Any predictions and/or comments on this game.

I may be crazy, but I think Fayette has a good shot to win this game. Of course, having seen them play might color my thinking a bit, but they have a good team and this one's being played in Somerville. I don't expect this to be a blowout either way... should be a close, hard-fought game.

I havent seen FA play, but I did see the USJ-South Side game. USJ played close to a very good SS untill the 4th quarter, and it was the worst Ive ever seen USJ play. I think USJ wins by a couple of TD's, but not a blow out. 28-7.

Fayette Academy has a good chance to dethrone the Bruins. Playing at home,

I think this will be a good game. Look for Fayette Academy to continually get better in the future. Fayette County has basically been for the longest time just a very poor county comprising mostly of people who could never make it out of there. Somerville is the county seat and has always been just a country town. But things are a happening down there. Shelby County is now overflowing into Fayette County and many new young people are taking up residences there. Nice big new subdivisions with big houses like Somerville has never seen are cropping up real close to Fayette Academy. Give them time and they will soon be a force year in and year out.

i think USJ wins this one by a pretty big margin. i havent seen fayette academy this year but i have played against USJ and they are a good team. from the tapes i have saw on fayette they arent as good as last year and if they are gonna compete in this one they better bring the house. USJ by 30 but good luck to both teams. GO VIKINGS!
