I agree, there should be a county championship race at Red Clay. The race there last year was pretty good. The course could have been marked a little better though. There should be a team trophy for girls team, boys team, and then the top male and female runners should get awards. That would be cool!

I will look into it but I was thinking we should us Fletcher Park. We just need two trophies one boys and one girls and who every wins gets to hold it for one year till the next race and so on. No entry fees and no one school makes money from it, that would never work. We just need to get a two big nice trophies donated then we could make it happen.

caleb why are you before trevor his name is sooner in abc order (last name) and its jerome not jorome and wasn't your time 16:58 by the clock start staying with us and you might not miss the start and kyle i think has ran 17:37 but he just got back from being injured and how did this go from runnerboy to this?

How did we get from runnerboy to this? Well there is a thing called scrolling back and reading previous posts, and if one were to do that they might see that someone ask a question, and that question might be "Who is the best runner in Bradley Co. (meaning Walker Valley, BC, or CHS)?" We wouldn't dare want to give anyone ANY credit at all for having a desent run either. :D

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
