showtime7
Unless something bad happens and she goes down with a injury Alex Fuller will run away with the AAA Miss Basketball trophy. Sade Buley and Latoya Bullard will be nominated with Fuller but don't see either beating her out. Now for next year the trophy will return to Memphis with Bullard. letgobigo
I don't know what basketball some of you have been watching, but I put Ashleigh Newman up there the best in this state. I can't remember a better duo than Newman and Fuller on one team. They have dominated on the state and national level.
SCHSFan
It should come down to Newman, Fuller and Buley in AAA......it's a toss up between these 3. Edited October 27, 2003 by SCHSFan
showtime7
Newman is a great player but Miss Basketball will come down between Alex Fuller, Sade Buley, and Latoya Bullard. In my opinion these are the best three players in AAA. Alex Fuller will run away with the voting and bring yet another Miss Basketball trophy back to Shelbyville. littledarryl
Showtime--I understand your passion for Alex Fuller since she'll be coming to your school but don't forget who was the main player involved in bringing home that gold ball for Shelbyville last year. It'll be the same player that will do it this year if Shelbyville is to win another one, Ashleigh Newman. Fuller is one of the best post players in the state, but when it comes to pure athleticism, Newman and Sade Buley are hands down the best. So, while Rick will most likely push for Fuller to win the Miss Basketball title, the people of Shelbyville know who the true Miss Basketball candidate should be. I still say the 3 Miss Basketball candidates should be - Fuller, Newman and Buley but I doubt the "west" TN area will let that happen. That is my opinion and several coaches in district 8AAA also.....(right, LC?)
showtime7
I think Ashley Newman is a great player and am not going argue with you on this matter cause both kids are great kids. I stated my opinion and have fact after fact that proves why Alex Fuller is the best in the state. Why worry about Alex and continue to compare the two. Shelbyville will never have two kids up for Miss Basketball. Fuller being the best senior in the state and Latoya Bullard being the top Junior in the state they both should be up for this award. Again opinion only and I believe that Newman is the top 5 player in the state.
littledarryl
I agree there will never be two Shelbyville players up for Miss Basketball. I disagree about Newman being the #5 player in the state. I'd rank her in the top 3. Enough about these girls. You have your opinions and I have their stats. I'll leave it at that because if the truth were known, it could get ugly.
showtime7
Never said that she was number 5 player in state, I said that she was Top 5 player in the state in all classes.
