region 5 no doubt in 1A

Is there any doubt that region 5 in division 1A is the best in the state? There are some really good teams in there. Can Boyd or So. Pitt compete?

As I recall, Boyd took a Region 5 1A team to overtime in the State Championship game last year.

Well if Boyd beat SP without their star player (matt peardon), then what makes u think theyll be able to beat Boyd in the playoffs with their star player.

After reading what the message board was actually about, I retract my last post. But it would have been cool if u were talking about SP beating Boyd in the playoffs, cause my comeback...to die for.

I do believe the 1A state champ will come from Region 5. They are just so successful in the playoffs. CPA and DCA could both easily be there. Yes DCA still has a chance to beat CPA in their possible rematch in the second round. DCA had virtually no running game in the first game and still had it at 14-14 in the 4th quarter and was driving to take the lead before the block FG and TD return. If the DCA line can open up any kind of hole Wooden can get through and gain huge yards. I know, Ive seen when Wooden has room, he is as good as any back in the State. CPA is still my favorite, however to win it all. They are on a mission and they are a good TEAM. They don't have one player that has a great game every week, but they get it done as a unit. Thats how they did it last year.
