Gee, you wouldn't be a Coalfield fan by chance, would ya?

But you're right. CAK wins because they're just lucky... or maybe they win because they're a private school.... or maybe thay win because they play well. Naaaaaa, that last one can't be it.

you all need to learn to give credit where credit is due. finecut66 you woudln't be saying that if the clock stopped in your favor. thats the way it goes, accept it and get over it. Cak wins because of their heart. they've got the talent and the coaching to go far. and the reason they've made it this far is because when it came time to get it done, they did. I dont think any coalfield fan or player would be sayin this is they had beaten oneida in the regular season. Cak wins because they want it more. and whenever they do lose. they will be giving it their all until the clock runs out.

Their coaching staff should have all the credit in the world, yet, Coalfield should be controlling their own destiney even as we speak. Coalfield should have beat cak. I think everyone knows this. But Coalfield also beat Oneida. And if things wouldnt have got stopped like the clock did, Coalfield and Cak should be in the playoffs. Dont Diss Coalfield because we gave cak the biggest scare yet. And if the time was kept on the field, instead of the press box, Coalfield should be in the playoffs and possibly still playing. But i wish Cak best of luck, i want you all to do the best you can. Im still upset because my senior year was left up to one clock keeper. But things happen for a reason.

well tightend5 i dont know who you are but you are right coalfield should had controlled there own destiny and we would have but a clock keeper screwed us over but i dont think cak will keep getting those 1 point wins because i dont think they will go to state

Whenever you feel like stopping with the excuses, I think I speak for everyone on coacht when I say we are ready for it. Show some class and accept the fact that you lost to CAK. Just because this is CAK's 3rd year of having a football team, and they have already advanced as far in the playoffs as Coalfield has in all its years of having a team does not give you the right to make up excuses for losing to them.

When CAK has been to the playoffs more than Coalfield then we will talk. One year doesn not make tradition. While the progam is on the rise you must also remember that Coalfield does not put the money into the sports program CAK has the abiliity to put into theirs which is another thread. Maybe CAK needs to stop and think how they rose so quickly. At any rate good luck in the play offs. South Pitt and Boyd are fun places to get beaten because the fans of the opponents get to go home early.

It is also widely beleived the time ran out on the 39 yard play, and the time for the last touchdown had expired but it doesn't matter now. And while savoring your victory think about how a freshman quarterback engineered a sixty plus drive against you to score and go ahead with 23.5 seconds remaining in that game.

Have a good rest of the year.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
