I would first like to say what a good game greenback played even though we lost. It's hard enough to play anouther team, but it's even harder to play the other team and the refs. Everyone has their opionin on why we lost the game. C.A.K. says it's just because their better, some say it's because of Derek Bell's soluite, others say it's because of all the pentelties we got, and there are still the ones that think it's all coach satterfield's falt, but i have a completly different openion. I think it's because of everything except the C.A.K. is better. Yes Derek did get a pentalty called on us, but everyone else has something they do when they get a touchdown this was get just his new thing. Yes, we did get alot of pentalties called on us, but alot of them were just bad calls by the dumb, blind zebras with the wistels and bright yellow flags that like to call theirselves referies. Which if you were there you may of realized that every touchdown they called back one of the zebras that had cleaned their glasses called it an actual touchdown.g-2-g!

Greenback lost that game on their own. Yes there was one play where the kid dove for the endzone and it looked like he made it, but that was bout the only bad call. The kid not only saluted but he spiked the ball which is a very big no no in high school football and every player knows that. Greenback was definitly holding and blocking in the back it cost u several good plays. Not to mention cak's two redzone stops. Greenback was on the 2 yard line 1st and goal i believe right before the half and they got stuffed 4 plays in a row.. Greenback lost the game not the refs.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
