12yr.oldchamps
also a question for Dan Patrick: Is the Milan coach you are talking about Coach Morris? Surely he would not leave Milan for Henry County! Is this a true rumor or just talk? That won't happen. Why would he want to go there and be 5A and have to travel every week to Middle Tn? 12yr.oldchamps
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I would hate to see Morris leave. However, we would have no problem finding an excellent coach to replace him. We would be overwhelmed at the applications for that job. turbo
Is there anyone from the surrounding counties they might look at, i.e. Huntingdon. I've just been hearing things but nothing for sure.
westtn2004state
What are you getting at turbo?
turbo
What are you getting at turbo? I'm just trying to trace down a small rumor I heard yesterday. There's probably nothing to it, I was just hoping someone on here might have heard something along the same lines. It'll all be speculation for awhile I guess. 12yr.oldchamps
Probably a young Huntingdon assistant. I can't see Mansfield leaving a successful program at this stage in his life.
turbo
I don't want to name any names because its probably nothing. We'll see.
coachfoozeball
come on turbo! What's the story? No one seems to know. Just keep hearing some assistants that are on staff now may get job. Maybe this is not true because they were waiting for Huntingdon to finish the season. Just wondering what you know? mustang69
In my opinion Mansfield would be nuts to leave Huntingdon , with the talent here right now. I always thought that Swenson was a shoo-in( and deservedly so in my opinion) for when Mansfield retires, but in 4 years the job might not be so attractive. I really think HC is looking for somebody with experience as the head man. I could see why a relatively young exceptional coach with possible aspirations to move up to the college ranks would be interested in being the head coach at a 5A team for experiences sake i.e Jeff Morris or P.A. coachfoozeball
Interesting!! ELA I read in another post that you were at the coaches clinic this past weekend. Did you hear anything about this job? Just thought you might have heard what all the coaches were saying about the HC job. Hope you check this post and know something.
