McGavock Invitational

Just wanting to know what teams will be at the McGavock Invitational this weekend.

MT.Juliet, Beech, Antioch, McGavock, Hillsboro, Hillwood, MLK, Maplewood, East Lit., FRA, TSB, Whites Creek, Nashville Christian, Glencliff, Hunter's Lane, Stratford, and Wilson Crntral all show McGavock on their schedule. Hopkinsville Kentucky is usually there as well.

You guys did pretty well at Kenwood last week. What weight classes should we watrch for from collierville??

hmmm...let see... 112(Hammond), 119(Speroff), David Hunt ins injured at 130, 135(Rogers), 140(Cullen), 152(West), 160(Graham), 215(Rogers)...those are a few

Looks like this may be a pretty decent tournament. Any other wrestlers to watch out for this weekend.

Sounds like the weekest tournament in history! Hopkinsville will not be there. They are having their own tournament. If Collierville is really going to that tournament then they are wasting a weekend. They will get no better wrestling those schools.

The Mcgavock Tournament will feature several of the states best wrestlers this weekend. Maplewoods 103 (Devon Martin) is ranked in the top three, Mt.Juliets 130 ( Bill Seaman) is ranked #1 in the state. Josh Johnson from Antioch is ranked 5th @160 Kenny Jenkins from MLK is ranked 2nd @160 Vanderloop from Hillsboro (if he's back from football)was ranked 4th @ 160 but will probably be at 171. Elson from Glencliff is ranked 2nd @heavyweight.

I don't know much about Collierville but Hammond, Speroff, and Cullen are ranked as well.

There won't be any powerhouse teams at McGavock but to say this is a weak tournament is pretty lame.

Good post kjfan, look at the name "Hater" This is a good early season tournament for anyone there. Good luck to everyone, go Antioch!!!!
