dukevol
Just got through watching the master of middle school basketball show his stuff. That is Leon Tolley. Any high school looking to build a program or take theirs to the next level should come knocking at his door. Coach Tolley has built a successful program at the Hampton Middle School. Year in and year out his team is tops in the county and competes for the regional championship. They play hard and show the discipline that many of the area high school teams are lacking. So if any AD's are looking for a great addition to their program, a lot of our area teams need something, then just look up at the bulldog haven and get started on a successful program. Great job, Coach Tolley.
dog4life
I don't know if you could call him the Master or not but Coach Tolley has done a great job for many years. It is funny that you never hear his name mentioned for other jobs. Maybe they know that he will not leave his beloved Hampton. Rumor has it that this year will be his last with his second child on the way. It will be a huge loss to Hampton Basketball if he does get out, but I can not see him staying away for long, if he does. tincup
I agree totally that Coach Tolley runs one of the top programs in our area and that includes middle school and high school. He is a great teacher on the court and off. Year in and year out his teams are always well prepared and ready to play. I wish him well in whatever his future may hold on the court and off. He is a great ambassador for Hampton basketball and also Carter County basketball. He is the type of man that a person can take what he says and take it to the bank. There aren't many of those left! Congratulations to Coach Tolley and his team on their performance at Freedom Hall in the Christmas Tournament, you all represented Carter County very well over there. I hope that if he does put up the whistle that it isn't for long and I am sure that the people in Hampton feel the same way.
Anklebreaker12
"Master Coach Tolley" he's a great coach and I would love to see him at the high school, but like was said his second child is on the way and he could be hanging it up at the elementary after this season. p.s. much respect to this man. dog4life
Breaker, sounds like you are a former player for Coach Tolley? Do you think that my assessment of him is correct? If you are a former player you can give us some insight.
