Anybody know the complete schedule? Starts at 10:00, semis at ???, finals at ???. About what times has it finished in past years? Where are the better places to eat near the high school?

Seems like we're usually out of there around 9:00. Long way to Chatt. after 12 hours in the gym...

 

My schedule says semis at 6:00, finals at 7:30. They have 2 1/2 hours scheduled for each pool. I shouldn't take that long. Maybe we can get them to push the schedule a little.

Walkenvol: Last year, the wonderful folks at Greeneville actually had white beans and corn bread at their concession stand - just like Granny used to make...yum.

 

I don't know if they'll have it again this year, but if they do, you'll not want for a better meal.

 

I've been there twice with our team (ND) but I never explored culinary adventrues outside the gym - except for fast food.

 

Unfortunately, we won't be there this weekend. We're at the Chattanooga Central Invitational which we've appeared at since we've been for ND for the last 3 years.

 

I'm suprised their tournaments are the same weekend. They haven't been in the past...but.

 

Let us know how the Red and Blue come out.

Lots of confusion surrounding this thing. I just got a call saying that wrestling starts at 9:30, not 10:00. This is for the pool wrestling where you are guaranteed 3 matches. Either the top 1 or 2 out of each pool qualify for the semis at 5:00 and the finals at 7:30. Most importantly, its not at Greeneville High School but instead at Hal Lenard (sp?) elementary school??? Coach Brimer, how about posting the facts and directions?

Per a phone call from a parent of a wrestler at the meet at approximately 4:30 p.m. CST, the semifinals had started with Baylor, McCallie and Science Hill leading the pack at 1-2-3. Franklin Road Academy of Nashville was in 7th with 4 semifinalists.

I wish I knew the outcome of all the matches, but I will post what I remember.

Baylor's 189 won I heard.

That is correct- Derek Walker won 189 and looked very strong throught the tournament. Since the Southeastern duals where he beat Campbell he seems to have turned it up a notch. For a sophomore wrestling 189 he looks especially good.
