Bill Brimer-Greeneville High Coach

Just wanted everyone out there in our larger wrestling family to know that there is good news and bad news regarding Coach Brimer. First for the good news, Bill won his 400th career dual meet as a coach Thursday night as Greeneville High School defeated Morristown East. That same night he added two additional wins. As you know, he has taken his squads from Morristown West, Tennessee High, and now Greeneville all over the state. 400 career wins is quiet an accomplishment and you might want to post congratulations to him.

Now for the tough topic....Bill's youngest son, Steve, who is currently 12 years old and has fought cancer since he was 3 years old, just received news this last week that the cancer is back in a very strong and aggressive manner. The prognosis is not encouraging. Stevie is the toughest kid I know and having fought cancer and tumors for 8 years, is tired. Please pray for Stevie and Bill's family as they continue to go through tough times.

Any responses, I will print and give to Bill and his family..Thank you for your support...In wrestling, David A. Hollowell

Coach Brimer,

Congratulations on your 400th victory! In a sport that relies heavily on emotion and dedication, that is quite an accomplishment. I know the fans in Greeneville feel lucky to have you there.

On a different note, I'm so sorry to hear about Stevie's health. He is a very special and courageous boy. My prayers are with you and the rest of your family.

Sincerely,

Rachel Hollowell

Dear Bill,

I'm so sorry to hear about Stevie's condition. Through the past couple of years the FRA wrestling family has seen two of our moms survive two different forms of cancer. Through prayer and research and hope - take strength in your family and the extended family you have in the wrestling community. Stevie will be prayed for in many groups in Nashville as well as yourself and your family.

God bless,

Marc Taylor / Franklin Road Academy
