yourworstnightmare
Error at 103! 103 Devon Martin of Maplewood defeated the LaRue kid by 7 pts, I believe. 112 Nic Bundy was "voted" best wrestler 130 was best match that was totally handled by Bill Seaman of MtJuliet. CoachDelgado
Why was "Voted" in quotation marks? Could it be that the Germantown 140, Barnett, pinned all the way through the tournament while Bundy did not? It seems to me that Barnett was the best wrestler while Bundy just got the votes. Likeachamp171
Jacob Randolph, Centennial's 152, pinned all the way through. He pinned the first two guys in the first period and pinned in the second period in the finals. Plus he never had one point scored on him throughout the entire tournament. He deserved it more than anybody else there.

gtsw
Error at 103! 103 Devon Martin of Maplewood defeated the LaRue kid by 7 pts, I believe. That is correct Apologies to Mr Martin!!
CougarWrestling
103: Championship - Maplewood d. Larue, Ky 103: Consolation Final - Cope (Cent.) d. Bogdan (Hville)
CougarWrestling
Stuart lost in the semis to Martin by a major decision. I can't recall the score against Bogdan, but I think STuart won by 4 or 5 points.
yourworstnightmare
Zach Suggs from Sycamore pinned all 3 opponets as well. He pinned the Mt Juliet kid in 19 seconds, pinned in the semis in 26 seconds, and pinned Cory Douglas from Maplewood in the Finals in 17 seconds. No one scored on him all day and he wrestled a total of 61 seconds in 3 matches! Sounds as if he should've been best wrestler as well. This, along with all other wrestlers who had an awesome tournament, is why "best wrestler" should not be awarded at tournaments in my opinion. There were several worthy candidates, but the one who was "voted" best wrestler didn't deserve it in my opinion, although he is an exceptional wrestler. yourworstnightmare
Also, Hendersonville needs to update their website. Suggs pinned Douglas. Suggs was the champion at 275.
Hey,DudeMan
That is correct. Suggs pinned Douglas in the finals. He had a good tournament. The finals match was over so quick and Suggs cut his eye, there was a little confusion. The announcer even announced it wrong until he was corrected. best_of_the_west
One thing you have to consider when looking at OW is "Who did he wrestle?" Bundy wrestled Martin, who has been ranked at other points in the season. You can't really say that one of the guys that pinned all the way through is better than the others, because that probably means that they didn't have too much competition. Although, I'm sure it didn't hurt that he goes to the host school.
