Bodylock2
I am glad someone cleared up the sudden drop in weight of Kyle James. I was coming to the wrong conclusion when I saw the tourn results. I really couldn't figure out why James would go down to 119 lbs. for the tournament other than he was scared to face Hiller of Ryan again. If I recall, Hiller is the only one to give James a match this year (4-4 going into the 3rd period the finally 11-7). I hope I am not wrong on this. I am sure many would have loved to see that match up again with Hiller and James. Love those good matches!!!!!!! It makes the fans come back for more. Gripper
what about ryan fuller? is he wrestling 119lbs or 130lbs at states? how many times has he been at 119lbs...is he even eligible to wrestle 119lbs at states? wherever he goes, he should do pretty well at states. he should at least be top 4 at both the weight classes. Rabbitt
if you consider someone getting takendown 5 times and let up in a match a good match, then yea hiller gave kyle a good match. i consider that dominating someone.

CoachBlair
lovetowrestle, no I don't have individual results. We only took a skeleton team of 7 guys, so I wasn't really paying a lot of attention to the weight classes we weren't in. There were a couple of what I thought were key upsets in the semifinals. 130 - Cody Cleveland was leading over the LFO kid 8-3 in the second period (I think) when he got caught and pinned with a headlock. 140 - Nick Myers lost by fall to the Fort Campbell kid. 103 - Cookeville over Soddy Daisy in a close one. This was a tough one-day tournament. If you didn't show up ready to wrestle, you paid for it.
SilentJohn
I'll second that. With FR, McC, & SD there, it was top-heavy. But there were good kids from all over. The upsets illustrate that. Everybody who showed up got some good tough wrestling in that will be a great tune-up for the upcoming post-season. ralphw
Correction of reported results.... 160 final Blackman over Soddy 10-1 not 10-9 as reported.
nesmen2
I dont really think the 103 semi match was an upset because it was a good match all the way and cookeville racked up mcCroskey in the final seconds for the win(13-11)cookeville 103 is an underdog

crossface
Paul Campbell(SD )189 was OW. He pinned Flynt Rudolph(McCallie) in 1:33 in the Semis, and pinned Kenny Merredith(Blackman) in :36 in the Finals.
