Walker Valley vs. McMinn Central

Walker Valley beat them in their previous meeting at the Stable earlier this season. But how will it turn out this time and your thoughts on who the playmakers will be?

I have got to go with McMinn Central. WV is scoring at a tremendous clip but they are not stopping anyone. I beleive that McMinn Central will get the necessary stops to win the game and the district. Both teams are extremely balanced so don't look for any one standout. I think in the end the team that plays the best defense will win. McMinn Central by 10.

I think the Walker Valley boys have hit a slump in their scoring. They only scored 80 points vs. Meigs (that's a lot of points for most high school teams), and 59 points vs. Ooltewah. That is an average of about 70 points. The four games prior to those two games, they averaged 92 points. Maybe they will come out and shoot better tonight. I expect the Boatman kid to really step up tonight against his former team (at his former school). He seems like the kind of player that gets motivated in situations like this. I don't even think he played much in their first victory over McMinn Central.

There's no doubt WV can score, I just don't know if they can stop anyone. I have to agree with Luckyday in that I think Boatman will be tuned in for this game. In the end though I just think McMinn Central has two many weapons. They have won the district five years in a row and I don't see them conceding it tonight.

Depends on if W.V. plays team ball or the black hole does all the shooting.

McMinn will win, unless Walker comes out strong like they did against Bradley. If they just depend on threes like they did against Ooltewah, they need to try and work the ball down low even though they have no size.
