Pitino
Well, Lets see. It was a little easier to come up with a game plan for WV versus McMinn Central. That was a no brainer. Get the ball to Morris, who is one head taller than all the Central guards, and much better than any post Central can run out on her. Bradley's post can make things a little tougher on Morris. I guess Morris would be my secondary game plan tonight. Even at that, she should score 15 or more. Cox will be a factor tonight with her hustle getting Bradley into foul trouble. Parks defense versus Pickel will be big. And Tucker not letting Jackson have a wide open shot will be big. Morris on Cassida, Butler on Crowe, and Cox on Reynolds. Morris not leaving the post regardless of where Cassida goes to help and rebound. Everyone else all over the court, guarding their man and switching on all picks except Cassida's and fighting through that one. WV will need some scoring from the perimeter tonight. Bradley might depend on all perimeter. But they have 4 that can do it. For Bradley a little match-up zone would be nice, or at worse a Triangle and two. Leave Cassida, Crowe, and Reynolds in the zone and Pickel and Jackson chasing Butler and Tucker. The Triangle only stepping out to help if Pickel or Jackson get beat. Bradley likes to pick and roll alot, so WV will have to be up on their switches. There could be a record number of treys go up tonight. Should be interesting. Two really good teams with some real good players. The two coaches just may be clones.
Pitino
Sloppy game. 40-37 Walker Valley wins. Bradley about 1 for 15 from three point land. Walker Valley some better, maybe 4-20 or so. Bradley seems to be just going through the motions after losing Buckalew. They need to get on down the road and understand they just may have to go the rest of the way without her. Cassada needs to work long and hard at catching the ball, facing the goal and making some offensive moves. Walker Valley played just well enough to win. Bearettefan
I will agree, that was a sloppy game. Lauren played very well. I was proud of her. Harlow needs to lighten up and let all the girls shoot or we won't have a prayer come District time. Especially if Tiffiny isn't well. We were 1 for 18 from the 3 point line.
