I wasn't at the game, but from what I gather, the Govs choked at the end, not being able to convert free throws and losing a 7 point lead in the last minute of the game.

 

Contrary to what everyone else has insinuated (FatJoe, SS1, etc.) neither I nor ETCoach have made any bold statements implying that WB is a powerhouse team this year. They are not. They have to work for everything they get and they definitely will have to play their best and get some breaks to advance in the district tournament.

 

When I say they are rebuilding (which caused SS1 to produce some kind of weird logic) I simply meant that they lost 8 - 9 seniors last year and are relying heavily on sophomores and juniors this year.

 

What has caused most of the rabble is the fact that we've gloated a little bit because some of South Doyle people were on earlier in the year talking about how great the Cherokees were and somehow, the Governors managed to beat them twice. Then, they got a huge win over Farragut which was really sweet and was really an upset. (JMo)

 

We don't brag about being an upper echelon team and we DON'T make excuses when we lose. Our boys have to play hard every night out and there is not a team in our district that isn't capable of beating us on any given night.

 

Talking smack is fun ... being honest is even better.
