lawrence co, loses and shelbyville wins

i was just wandering since Lawrence Co. had the oppertunity to win the district tonightand they lost and Shelbyville won there game tonight they are tied for the district championship.it is my understanding that they will flip a coin to see who is championing so who gets to call the coin toss?????????????????????

The way I understand it is that Lawrence County gets the number one seed. The reason is that the coin flip is not active anymore. The way TSSAA decides ties now is they see if either team swept the number 3 team. (Columbia). Although Lawrence County and Shelbyville both had two losses Lawrence County swept Columbia who came in third in the district. Shelbyville split with Columbia, so the number one spot goes to Lawrence County. I think this was changed in 2002.

Thought it was point differential between Shelbyville and Lawrenceburg.

The rules are different between districts and classes and so on. Each year when the district meeting comes around the coaches decide how they are going to handle tiebreakers. Some are handled head to head then a coin flip. Some are handled as farside explained. Just thought I would help.

Lawrence Co ran into a very hungry Coffee Co team tonight that out hustled them and could not miss tonight.
