I didn't list KP because of his injury. IT's to his throwing side, and I'll be interesting to see how he comes back. If he comes back like he was, then he probably deserves to be on there.

 

And I think Ryan Moore should be on that list. That was my list of top high school players. As a pitcher he dominates his batters by gassing it by them. But don't just look at him as a pitcher. He's a solid hitter and when he's not pitching he's in left field. So all around he's a great athlete. The kid even leads the McCallie bowling team into action! Can't wait to see how this season turns out for him and where he ends up going.

If I was picking 4 pitchers from the Chattanooga area to compete against anyone else, I would still have him as one of them.

Ryan Headden from Boyd Buchanan should have a great year for the Bucs. He is a super athlete who can run and play several positions. Very quick bat.

Justin Higdon, from Ooltewah.... quarterback in football. Not to mention the rest of the Ooltewah pitching staff, it's pretty deep.

I would add to the pitchers list Dane Bolton of Hixson and Toby Woodlee of Grundy County. They were #1 and #2 in the Chattanooga area last year in strikeouts. Both throw high 80's and are very durable.

I just don't see McCallie being the team to beat. They aren't that deep. They've got like 5 teams, but that's because EVERYONE has to play a spring sport. They'll be competitive as always, but not dominating.
