McMinn got destroyed. Hare had at least 4 3's and Brown had at least 3. McMinn could never really get anything goin offensively. At the end of the 3rd quarter McMinn had only scored 4 points. There needs to be a change in coaching soon/

Hey Doughboy,

Thanks for the post but you need to be corrected on some errors.

 

1st) Bradley hit a total of 15 3's tonight. 5 by Hare, 4 by Brown, 3 by Olgelsvie, 1 by Hammonds, 1 by Phillips and 1 by Goode.

2nd) Pickle should be back if the Bears get to the sub-state. Don't ever discount the drive and determination in this young man.

3rd) Bradley has NOT has back to back games. They lost to Cleveland, beat Rhea County and lost to Oak Ridge.

In fact they have not lost two games in a row since 12-28-2000 (over 4 years ago)

In fact they have NEVER lost more than 3 in a row under Kent Smith who is in his 8th year at BCHS.

 

That's all.

 

P.S. The final was 85-34, pretty much annihilated, destroyed, decimated, (pick your own description). And it really wasn't even that close to be honest.

The 51 point loss has got to be one of the worst losses in the schools 100 years. Is there any talk of a coaching change? If so I wonder who would be interested?

Would this not leave McMinn looking for a football and basketball coach? Is there a problem within the school or Community that would keep potential canidates away?

Not that I am aware of. Athens is a town of about 15K in polulation and is a great place to work and raise a family. Politics are very prevelant here and it is good if you know someone if you are trying to secure a job especially a head coaching job. If you don't believe me just ask Hutchins, he had his best friend put his neck on the line for the school to hire him and of course it got done. One thing about a small town everybody knows everything about everyone.
