Nice to hear from you Amanda! Tiffany did quit for other intrests and Ashley Johns quit too. I really hated to see that, have been watching both play ball since they were little girls. Don't know if Kori will play or not she is still in basketball with Kaitlyn, Casey and Jessica and a new freshman that is very good named Kayla. The team is still very deep with talent and we have a Junior High team now to develop even more young girls. Ashley Schmidt is back after shoulder surgery and pitching. She could add some speed to the infield and if she can come back and stay healthy has the mind set for a good closer. Debbie has had some back problems but I think she is healthy and pitching hard and Nicole has been working hard too. If the pitching stays healthy we should be a force in 11a again this year but the other schools aren't sitting still they are getting better too. And yes we will be in Panama City again this year already have my sun screen! I'll be posting pics of the games here on coach-T so keep in touch dear.

thanks mr moses! I am sad to hear that those girls quit, but i guess it can only make them stronger! i really wish i could come visit you all in Panama City, but i am over 7 hours south of there, and if it is as hot there as it is here, you will need the sunblock! Tell Mrs Cheatham that she doesnt have to spend money on my veggie burgers when she goes grocery shoping! lol.im glad to hear that Schmidt is back! She should be at second, she is very quick and she hustles for everything. i think she would do very well there!

i will try to come to one of the games, but it depends on when we get finnished!! it would be nice to come home and see all of the girls! I just hope i will be able to see a game! I will b keeping an eye on you all! Good Luck, and I hope everyone gets better!

Kori still has time to decided. The basketball is still going on for Forrest but Softball does not start March 15th. I will not believe it until I see her not on the field on March 22 when they play community at Unionville. I will not be able to see the game opener on March 15th. She is a real talented outfield and lead off but how will is Forrest pitching aftyer be off for most of the Fall & Winter?

Soccer Player you are a disgrace to Soccer players everywhere. You can't know anything about Softball if you are not aware that Forrest and Richland were two of the best public schools in the state for the last two years. Runner up two years ago and fourth last year at State and you say Forrest isn't very good.......Sounds to me like you just have something against the school or the team. If you have some kind of insight (I really doubt you have the IQ to develop an insight) about the team, I would love to hear it. Check out some websites on softball and bone up about the game so you will be able to post without sounding so silly. Your first lesson: Hit the ball with the fat part of the bat. Now I've got you started on your way lets see if you can do better on your next post.

i know mrs cheatham is going to kill me for saying this, but i think if cory gets a basketball scholarship where she wants to go, i do not think it would be a good idea for her to play softball. I have played with cory, i know she plays hard, she gets down and dirty when it comes to softball, and if she does decide to play, i hope she doesnt get hurt! Coach Cheatham better take good care of her and be smart with what players she has left!!

I have to agree with you shyone but Forrest is loaded with talent and the season is going to ride on coaching. She has a deep bench and some hard choices on who to play and where. And you know how important the pitching is...We had a great year with Ammo and last year Vickie did a bang up job not only pitching but had one of the best gloves on the infield. We will need the pitchers to really step up and play this season. One of the weak spots has been consistant hitting and if Kori doesn't play we will need to replace her speed someway. You remember last year how all the teams in 11A got stronger through the season we just have to stay on the ball and work hard. We have one of the best districts in the state and which ever team comes out on top will be a threat at State.

P.S. I gave Mrs. Cheatham your message.

Hey!!! Let's not forget a/b the former Rocket that is now a Patriot. Oh yes. The one and only Kacy. I miss being a Rocket, but my teammates now take care of me. I just have this gut feeling that Page just might beat Forrest this year. I don't know. I have said that for the past two years and it hasn't happened yet. Anyway, good luck to Forrest. I know y'all will do well. I hope to see you at some tournaments. This weekend we'll be at Fly Park. Last weekend we beat Lipscomb and Hendersonville and Smyrna in pool play, but got beat by Laverne in actual tournament play. I LOVE EVERYBODY!!!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
