Who's going to the Mt Juliet Playday? While I have your attention, the 16u A Intimidators are in need of a strong CF who can hit to join us for the 2004 season which will involve a minimum of 45-50 games and probably 55plus. If you know one that's 16u "A" and not on another travel team, I'd love to hear from you or if you know of one that's going to be at the play day. Thanks Bill 615 444 5914 or email littball99@aol.com website www.eteamz.com/lebanonintimidators :o

I watched several games at MTJ yesterday. The fielding looked like the pre-season. This is of course a pre-season event and several teams are still playing basketball but here is what I saw.

Riverdale played MtJ. Riverdale scored often. Lined several shots with women on base.

St. Benedicts played Ezell. St. Benedicts got early runs but Ezell's young pitcher settled down and after the first, the games was pretty close.

Wilson Central played Lebanon. WC scored early and often.

Lebanon played Father Ryan. Soph. LH threw for Ryan. It was really cold at that point. Ryan hit the ball well.

Again, all this is pretty much worthless but some people like to know.

I saw two more games Saturday. In the elimination part of the tournament,

David Lipscomb beat McGavock in typical DL style. Two innings of close ball and then some good bunting started a rally and Lipscomb's little inning turned into a big one and they won easily. DL threw, I guess their number two and she threw very well.

Mt. Juliet defeated Overton in the other game I watched. Overton's defense let them down as happens in pre-season tournaments. Mt. Juliet hit the ball well and had pretty good pitching.

I didn't stay to see who won.
