do you really agree with her....or are you just trying to be a "ladies man".....sounds like option #2....Maybe its just me

I would have to disagree with you, MooseGK, and agree with dback33. She seems to know a good deal about soccer, boys or girls, and information on teams other than her own.

Back to the original discussion of the best all around players Middle TN....

yes she does know alot about soccer. The problem with Columbia soccer is they dont get the recognition alot of other schools get. Columbia Academy is a contender every year. Columbia Central went to the final four last year and lost out in sectionals against McMinn Co. this year. McMinn Co is a very strong team. Read some of their posts and notice who they said was the best keeper they came up against all year. Centrals sweeper, Zac Walker is tremendous but alot of people probably have never heard of him. Jack Sowell is just a sophomore and is equally as good. In this area of the state all the talk is about Brentwood, Franklin, and Hendersonville. Alot of people thought Columbia and Centennial were lucky to go to state last year and maybe they were. But lucky or not they had to play some pretty good soccer to get there. Centennial beat some good teams to advance last year. Columbia shut out Blackman and Riverdale in regions. Both these teams beat them in the regular season. Its all about turning it up a notch when it counts the most. Columbia Central and Centennial tied this year 1-1 and anyone who watch this game knows this was one of the best games you could have seen. It showcased two of the best sweepers I have seen, Cal Long and Zac Walker. Last year Columbia started 0-4-2 mainly because Walker was still playing basketball. After he returned they went 13-4. This year they had him all season and went 16-5-1 and only allowed 14 goals. For what I have seen this year and I havent seen everybody my pick for best offensive player is Nic Shaver and defensive player, Long or Walker. Beat me up if you want but like Ive said I can only go on the players I have seen. It appears that Shaver can beat you in so many different ways. Walker and Long are natural athletes. I havent seen Brentwood play this year so Im sure some of the Brentwood players should be mentioned.

HAHA...funny, considering i do have a girlfriend! and i'm EXTREMELY happy with our relationship! (not that that is anyone on these boards' business, but its true and i don't mind telling anyone) i would have defended anyone else in CAsoccergurlie's shoes if a similar situation had come up! LOL, no hard feelings...i just don't think it was right of them to make a comment such as that based on the fact that she was a girl...

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
