OwlsBaseball
I saw most of the game, just want to hear everyone else's opinions. I'd have to say that Ryan Jones' homer off of Aaron Bristol sealed it for the Owls. Despite the weather, Justin Higdon and Nic Robinson threw well. sdballer2005
what was the score and who else did good for ooltewah ?
OwlsBaseball
Final was 7-4, Ooltewah... called in the top of 7th due to rain. Players with hits included Burke, Hall, Loy, McDade, just to name a few. Jones had the homer over the right field fence.
GradfromtheNest
Ooltewah 7, Bradley 4 For Ooltewah- Ryan Jones: 2 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R Kyler Burke: 2 for 3, 2B, 2 RBI, R, SB Travis Hall: 1 for 3, RBI, R John Howard: 1 for 2, RBI, R, BB Brad Loy: 1 for 2, 2 BB Blake McDade: 1 for 2(i think)...had a 2B, R, RBI, BB Pitching was ok. A few too many pitches and a few too many walks. But it's still early. The main thing is the big W! Considering the weather I was pleased with the performance. ProHScout
How many players does Bradley have out due to basketball? I know Kellen is out but is there any more?
cooterhooter13
I heard he (Pickle) is the only one they are missing.
Guesswho?
I'd have to say that Ryan Jones' homer off of Aaron Bristol sealed it for the Owls. I love how Aaron Bristols fans were talking him up so much before this game, and then Ryan Jones dropped a bomb on him. Just a shame already getting an L in your record. OwlsBaseball
Ha! Yeah, definitely Guesswho. Bristol is a darn good pitcher though. Then they brought in this lefty who didn't throw as hard, but whiffed Jones on offspeed.
GradfromtheNest
If Bristols is the guy that started for Bradley, he's got decent velocity. But his breaking ball is brutal! It goes 10 feet in the air before it comes down! Edited March 16, 2004 by GradfromtheNest
Guesswho?
He has potential to be a good pitcher, but I have to say he is highly overrated as of right now. Prove me wrong, then i'll shut my mouth.
OwlsBaseball
Yeah his curve is definitely a looper... easy to sit back and wait on. Bristol is probably a better 3B, but man, the lefty that pitched after him had a pretty brutal offspeed pitch as well.
baseballdude1
Who was the lefty tht pitched after him? Was it Ledford or McIntire? Those are the only 2 lefties I can think of.
